Good and Like:

I think that this piece is good because of the use of color. Although there aren’t a lot of different colors in this piece, there are about seven main colors that all compliment one another and really make this piece pleasant to look at. The symmetry in this piece and placement of the figures also make this piece easy to admire. The use of shadows on the wall also really makes this piece come to life.

I like this piece mainly because of its simplicity. There is not a lot going on, but at the same time it tells a story. It leaves room for the viewer’s interpretation. To me, this piece is sort of hinting at Cinderella’s three step sisters, but to someone else it could remind them of something else. It’s truly beautiful.

Bad and Like:

I think that this piece is bad because it is not a clear photo. There seem to be smears and blotches in random corners of this photo, making this piece poor quality and overall bad.

I like this piece because it gives me a sense of nostalgia and it really stimulates my senses. This photo transports me into a car that is driving through Brooklyn at night when it is raining. I can smell the rain and hear the bustling city. The fact that this blurry photo made me feel this way is why I like it a lot.

Good and Don’t like:

This piece is good because of the detail. The figure closely resembles reality and that is very impressive. The use of color is also impressive as all the colors used compliment each other extremely well and the way the color blotches are collaged together really make this piece stand out.

I personally do not like this piece because it is a bit unsettling to me. This type of art, like surrealism, is not really my favorite. It doesn’t give me a good feeling inside and I would not want to look at this piece very often.

Bad and Don’t like:

I think this piece is bad because the subject is meaningless. It’s just a piece of garbage. I understand that maybe this subject meant something to the artist, but it doesn’t to the viewer, thus it is nothing special. There are no striking colors or sensory details and it is just flat.

I do not like this photo because it is dull. It doesn’t transport me or make me feel any type of way. It’s not aesthetically pleasing and I do not enjoy looking at it.
