Finished Collage
REFLECTION
One highlight of this was being able to go through my camera roll and Pinterest to find quotes and pictures that reminded me of my experience riding. An insight I gained was how helpful Pinterest can be when it comes to making collages. When I was working on my collage, I learned how important the background is to each collage, and how it fills up space and rounds out the whole piece. In the future, I would love to create other pieces that reference riding and my experience with horses. For this piece, I didn’t have any sketches, but I did have inspiration from the prompt ‘identity.’

What if you added some more color to make certain elements pop?
I really like the handwritten quote and I think the different kinds of paper add a cool dimensional effect. The shapes of the different pieces cut out are pleasing to the eye and I love the rounded cut corners.
I like how it has a scrapbook look to it or like a dream board as well as the pieces of texts in it. I wish it had some more elements like drawings or even a 3D part. What if you hand drew one of the horses?
I like the incorporation of the writing.
