Some of the factors that play into this photo being intriguing are: it immediately caught my eye and then made me want to start thinking more deeply about it. Being a black and white photo, it makes up for the lack of color with a ton of contrast and a very dramatic depth of field. There are many textures and different materials in the photo which make it interesting to study. It is well balanced in all aspects and especially compositionally. The closer I look at this photo the more I notice the discrete details in it. This photo makes me want to know more about the story behind it.

This is a good photo in the sense that it has a creative composition, a decent amount of color, good contrast and texture details. But I don’t like it because I feel as though it’s cliché. It doesn’t draw me in or make me want to find out about the story behind it. I’ve seen many photos that are very similar to this one and there isn’t anything inpreticuler about it that makes it stand out to me over the others like it.

I really liked this photo once I read about the story behind it. There is an interesting texture throughout the photo. It’s a confusing photo, but in a way that makes me want to learn more about it. At a glance I consider this a bad photo because it is dull and it doesn’t jump out at me. There isn’t much color or contrast.

There is nothing about this photo that grabs me besides it’s normality and dullness. It has a lack of contrast and texture. There isn’t anything in this photo that makes me want to know more about if there is story behind it. I feel like there is a lack of creativity with the composition of this photo. As it’s a black and white photo it needs other aspects to make up for the lack of color.
