Making the invisible visible
For this project I decided to do a perspective from the earth of the night sky and one of a representation of the virgo constellation. My original idea was to take a photograph of the moon at night and then make a charcoal drawing of a close up on the moon.
Instead thanks to the help of my teacher they asked what image is represented in the virgo constellation. The constellation represents a woman. So I had my friend Gwen pose for me for a photo of her wearing a cloth. Incorporating the moon behind her head. While editing these 2 photos together for the final piece we then thought it looked a lot like the tarot card “The empress”. I put those words at the bottom of the picture and the number of the tarot at the top giving my final completion of my project.
