After working on these art pieces, I learned about mixing medias and layering. I applied that skill by layering text over a printed image and layering shapes/letters on top of each other using different colors to define the individual letters. In each of my projects I used cool colors (blue, navy, black, purple, green) I used this color combination because the colors blend well together and all correlate. One thing I learned about colored pencils is that they can be blended out really into a smooth, seamless, and even color. I realized that using circular motions with the colored pencils instead of rubbing them back and forth works better. In the future if I were to make another project similar to the attached ones above, I would focus on getting cleaner and sharper lines. A difficult thing for me with these projects was trying to get the lines and edges sharp. I like the color combination that I used on each of my projects, using Posca markers made these projects easier.
