• How much did you know about drawing portraits before we started?
  • I did know a few things: the division on the page of the face including the proportions.
  • What process did you go through to produce this piece?
  • The process was the practice of the face on multiple occasions and after that phase, printing an image of our face on the projector and later giving it details and shades; with different materials.
  • In what ways have you gotten better at this kind of work?
  • In what ways can you improve?
  • I got better on the marc of important details that can make a difference in the drawing.
  • How do you feel about this piece of work?
  • I feel good about it and how I work on it including with materials.
  • What parts of it do you particularly like?
  • I like working in the dark and as I said before on the details of the image.
  • Dislike?
  • I didn’t like doing the eyes at all.
  • Why?
  • This part of the drawing I think is crucial and if you mess up with the darks or shape the whole face looks bad and all the work falls apart.
  • What did/do you enjoy about this piece or work?
  • I enjoy doing the shades and the dark parts of the drawing.
  • Did you do your work the way other people did theirs?
  • I didn’t.
  • In what ways did you do it differently?
  • On the shades of my face, well I did not use too many shades, as my face was covered with my hands, and the only thing you could see was my eyes as part of my face, so there were no shades at all.
  • In what ways was your work or process similar?
  • At the start, using the same materials.
  • What’s the one thing that you have seen in your classmates’ work or process that you would like to try in your next piece?
  • I saw how they were using more clear materials for the face and details.
  • How do artists create detailed portraits expressing the personality of the person that is drawn?
  • I think that besides the feelings and thoughts about each portrait includes a different essence.
