• How do people contribute to awareness and understanding of their lives and the lives of their communities through art-making?

through complex and intricate designs with meaning. if one has deliberate meanings and thoughts behind each stroke, the meaning of what the piece represents would show. i think art is one of the best mediums to present awareness and understanding

  • How did you incorporate the elements and principles of the assignment (texture, contrast, and line)?

i used large deep strokes and scratches in the engraving. for the contour drawings i used long but careful lines.

  • What do you intend for audiences to see, experience, and think about when viewing your work?

i dont intend much, i just want to get better at my art

  • Which are the most successful aspects of your work?

i like my mono prints, i think i got better at them longer i went on at it

  • What was your inspiration for creating this artwork?

just pretty scenery, nothing to abstract or meaningful

  • Did you encounter any difficulties when creating your artwork? How did you work through them?
  • Is there anything about your work that you now think you should have done differently? If so, please explain what and why.

i experienced some difficulties with the amount of ink i had in my drawings, causing the endproduct to look smudged. i worked through it by trying to spread the ink out more and add less to my canvas. i think i should have made my etching more detailed and i should have rushed through it less.
