Reflection
My prompt was “flame” using pastels. I wanted to use white, yellow, orange, and red to create a realistic color of fire. If I continued for three months, I would likely be better using pastels and not mind the residue it leaves on my fingers. If I was just given the flame prompt, I would likely use colored pencils because I’m more comfortable with the medium. While I like the idea of limitations, I prefer limitations of ideas rather than materials because this project forced me to use mediums that I am extremely uncomfortable touching or interacting with. For pastels, I hate the feeling of the residue on my fingers after using them.
