The Good

To make this piece of art first I did small sketches in my sketch book. Then I made a pencil sketch on my final paper. Finally it was time to paint! I worked object by object, starting in the back and painting forward. It was really peaceful and fun to make. I learned a lot about doing something with no lines and about mixing paint. If I were a teacher critiquing this i would probably encourage me to add more of the reflection in the coffee pot.

The Bad

This was a really fun project! I first just had fun mixing different colors on the canvases with a palette knife, playing with textures and such. Then I had even more fun destroying them. We even made s’mores over the burned one. Denial is named after the first stage of grief because it is still hanging on the wall denying that it is utterly ruined. Anger is named after the second stage of grief because it it burning itself away in rage. Depression is named after the fourth stage of grief because it is is drowning in pain and sadness. Now, even though I ruined my own art it does not make it bad. These art pieces look interesting and thought provoking, which is much better than boring old nice.

The Awful

This is just plain awful. I hate it. I did learn about how to draw better eyes and make a face more proportionate, but it still sucks. It does not look like me at all and even though the eyes might be done nicely or the hair is interesting, it still sucks and just no. It looks like me if I were a vampire. Even worse, it looks like me if I were a Twilight vampire. No thank you.
