Yearbook

AC’s school yearbook is always called Synergy, and an edition of the book is published each school year.

All students in grades Little School – 11 have their school picture featured in the book. Seniors have the special privilege of creating their own senior pages with their own photos and materials. Each senior is given a blank page on which they can create their own expression of who they are and what their time at AC means.

Creating a senior page is a tradition at AC – senior pages can be found in the Allendale and Columbia yearbooks before the schools merged, going back decades. The earliest yearbook with Senior pages found in our Library is from the Allendale School in the 1950’s.

Getting Started
The only content requirements are that

1) You must use at least one photo of yourself

2) You must have your name appear somewhere on the page

You can use just about any high-resolution photo of yourself for the photo: a professional portrait, a photo that your friend or family has taken, or a baby picture. The rest of what you include on your senior page is up to you. Some students take a minimal approach, featuring one large photo of themselves with a quote and their name or signature. Others create a collage of photos including themselves, friends, and family. Some follow a design-oriented format using a template and others place images and text in more of a scrapbook style.
