Still Life Final
The most difficult part of this project for me was sticking with it. I don’t tend to do observational drawings and it became frustrating at times. The easiest part of the project was picking my media. I had been trying out oil pastels before we did this project and I think that looking at it differently helped it feel less restraining for me. I really enjoyed working on shadows, it felt like it brought it all together. While I worked, I learned that I am capable of doing observational drawings and longer projects I just have to spread out the time I work on them. If I had to create another still life, I would spend more time working on proportions as well as work on consistency with how I shade and highlight by planning it out more beforehand.
