Shared Spaces Gallery
I wasn’t able to go on the field trip, but I did visit the gallery on my own time. There were so many creative pieces that inspired me. One piece that sticks out in my mind is the drawing of a lone girl walking down a street where the singular street lamp illuminates her path, as well as a girl’s face in the background. The black space around them is covered in dull gold writing. I think I was initially drawn to this piece because its striking use of lighting. The subjects are realistic and recognizable, and the overall work is really cohesive and beautiful. I wish I remembered/knew more about the medium(s) this artist used.
