Stations and Obstructions Reflection

For this one we had to use a stick with charcoal taped to the end of it and draw using the stick. We were given a few objects to draw. I decided to draw the teapot. It was hard to make using the stick and I couldn’t get very straight lines liked I wanted to.
If I wasn’t given this restriction I would’ve use my finger to blend and make shadows. It was also all the same shade of black because I couldn’t really use different kinds of pressure to get the different shades.
Having restrictions on artwork is a good way to learn new techniques when you only have certain materials to use. Such as when we had to roll the dice we got a medium and a subject to work with. Sometimes we won’t always have all the materials you want.
