Obstructions Reflection

I first used the prompts given to me, which were to repurpose an element, do it quietly, and make it feminist. Then I figured out that my repurposed item would be handmade paper and magazine cut-outs. The feminine aspect was pink, and flowers, and I made things collages while speaking quietly. If I used this process for three months, I believe I would become better at using the restrictions to add depth to my work. If I didn’t use the obstructions that I was given, most likely would have used a pencil or pen. Overall I do enjoy using restrictions to create art, however, there were a few times during the stations that I felt annoyed with the restrictions that I was given (dice station).
