Self Portrait: Pastels “Red Curve”

I enjoyed painting, collaging, and drawing over the summer for these assignments. My favourite piece to make was the collage because I was able to try different ways of laying it out before committing to one design. I like how my still life turned out the most with the different colours and reflections in the glassware. However, it was the piece that I struggled the most on and did not enjoy as much because of the amount of focus it took (which I did not possess over the summer). Coming up with an idea for the self portrait was also difficult because I have always struggled with drawing faces so I wanted to create something that did not involve the front of my face.
