Still Life

The most difficult part of this project was figuring out the paint strokes as I have not done a lot with acrylic paint and I kept wanting to blend it like watercolor. It was hard for me to blend the shapes and tones, especially in the fabric.
The easiest part of this project was finding the position of everything in the area I was focusing on so I felt like the mapping stages, in the beginning, went well.
I really enjoyed the final part of working on this which I was just going over a few areas that I wanted to touch up. I liked this part because I was starting to become more comfortable with the project and I felt more confident in my ability to finish and feel good about it.
While I worked, I learned about paying attention to fine detail such as the way the font on the clock was different from how I was thinking about it so I had to look at it. I also learned to embrace the brush strokes instead of trying to have them very blended.
If I had to create another still life, I would probably like to use a different media as I did not love acrylic for a still life. I would also pay more attention to exactly what I’m looking at such as studying it a bit more during the process.
