Reflection Project

During the process of making the hand, specifically the fingers, Mr. Winslow told me that when we was working on his clay femur getting clay on it and then shaping it and carving it out made the project easier for him. I was getting stuck on the thumb and it was taking me a while trying to shape it out and then putting them on the hand. It wouldn’t work with the shape of the hand and sizing was very hard. After hearing his advice I switched to getting the clay on the hand in the general shape and then getting the detail that I wanted. This sped up the process a lot and got a better result for me.
