Shared Spaces Gallery
One of my favorite pieces from the Sharded Spaces art show was the Eye of the Beholder by Aivilyn Case. I love how this piece involves all different types of people and animals’ eyes, yet it is organized in squares while focusing on a common feature, the eye. There is much going on, but it’s organized by each being’s eye in one square and having the colors gravitate from people’s skin tones to the vibrant furs, feathers, and scales. Although I liked so many pieces, I connected with this one as the eyes were so interesting and visually beautiful. I like how it brings together a diverse group of people and species.
