My Favorite Piece From the Field Trip

I LOVE this piece! The figure reminds me of the infected from the show The Last of Us. I think the severed hand that is caressing its face is so powerful and gives the piece more emotional impact than it would have if it was just the decaying bust. It also reminds me of the Hozier song “Work Song”. The matte texture intensifies its old and dirty appearance but the light still catches on the highlights in a way that makes them have a slight glow. I wonder how difficult it was to make all of the external pieces like the mushrooms and the hand stay attached because I feel like they would be heavy.
